Speed and aceleration

Fourth Experiment Speed and acceleration Fan
Speed and acceleration apply to my experiment by, if you are turning on or off a fast it starts of slow and it gets faster and faster, same with when you are turning off a fan it starts off slow when you are turning it off and it eventually will get slower and then turn off.

Problem-If I turn on a fan and leave it on for one minute and thirty second how much time will it take to be completely off?

Hypothesis- I think that it will take about 3.5 seconds to turn completely off because it takes time for the fan to turn completely off because of its acceleration.

Materials
Fan
Two Timer
One person
Outlet
Clear and clean space

Procedure
1. Gather all materials
2. Make sure that you have a clean and clear space to therefore it will be easier to work
3. Make sure that you have a timer in your hand
4. Plug in your fan start the timer as soon as you turn on the fan
5. And when it gets close to one minute and thirty seconds put down the timer and grab a the new timer/ but make sure you do not turn off the other timer.
6. Write when it hit 1:30 on the timer turn off the fan write away make sure when you’re turning off the fan you start the timer as soon as you do that.
7. See how long it takes for the fan to turn completely off when your timer has stopped
8. Record you score on a separate sheet of paper or on your laptop
9. Repeat all steps over again four more times so therefore you have done this experiment five times in total

Variables
CV- same person that is timing, same fan, same timers, and same outlets
IV- the acceleration
DV- the speed/fan
Control- type of fan

My results
My results showed that my experiment can work because the acceleration on the fan is slowing down and not speeding up.

Data table
2.4
2.3
2.5
2.3
2.4
Observations
In this trail I saw it took a lot shorter time then I expected. I only took 2.3 then what I thought which was 3.5 seconds.

Hypothesis
My hypothesis was wrong because I thought that it would take a lot longer slowing down. It still took awhile to slow down but not as long as I thought it was it took about 2.3 seconds to be completely shut off. I thought that it would take at least 3.5seconds to shut of I was off by a whole seconded. Otherwise I had whole experiment write if I would got guessed the timing but I was kind of close to what is was actually but not exact.
