First Experiment Force and Newton’s laws :Marble and golf ball and Dominoes
Problem- Which will have more force on the dominoes, is it the golf ball, that has more mass or is it the clear marble that has more speed. Does speed affect the force?
Hypothesis- I think that if I used the golf ball than it will have more force on the dominoes than the clear marble because, the golf ball has more mass than the clear marble. Even though I think that the golf ball marble will have more force because it has more mass and also because it is bigger. It doesn't mean that the clear marble can't knock over the dominoes just because of it's mass. The clear marble could possible knock over the dominoes because of its speed but I just think that if you have a higher mass than you will have a better chance of knocking over the dominoes. Does speed affect the force? I think that speed can affect the force because if the marble is going really fast then it could possible nock over the Dominoes causing a force.
How Newton's laws apply in my experiment and in the physical world?
Newton's laws apply in my experiment in all different kinds of ways. Newton's first law is; an object at rest will remain at rest and that object that is at rest is the Dominoes because they are not moving. The seconded half of Newton's first law is; an object in motion will remain in motion in the same direction unbalanced force acts upon it, and the object that is remaining in motion in the same direction is the two different type of marbles. The unbalanced force is the dominoes because they are getting knocked over. Now that the first law is done we can move on to Newton's seconded Law. Part of Newton's seconded law is; the relationship between force and acceleration. The force is the marble knocking over the Dominoes. The acceleration is just the marble because when it is going down the track builds up more speed and therefore it can knock over the dominoes. The seconded part of Newton's seconded law is; greater the force, the greater the acceleration. That just means the more force the marble has the faster it will go.
Materials-
One clear marble that is normal size
One golf ball
10 dominoes
Wooden track
Clean Space
Ruler
Procedure
1. Gather all materials.
2. Then set up project.
3. Put the wooden track down on the table first.
4. After when you’re done with that measure 1 inch on your ruler away from the wooden track then put down the first domino.
5. Then fowl with the other 9 dominoes but make sure this time you measure 1 centimeter apart from each one.
6. Then when you are all done setting that up take your clear marble and roll it down the track and see how many dominos it will nocks over
7. Make sure when you are doing this write how many domino fell every time
8. When you’re done with that do you project all over again but this time do it 5 times and see if it changes anything.
9. After when you’re done with that, set up you new experiment for this project
10. Put the wooden track down on the table first.
11. After when you’re done with measuring 1 inch on your ruler away from the wooden track, put down the first domino.
12. Then fowl with the other 9 dominoes make sure you measure 1 centimeter apart from each one like you did with the marble
13. Then when you are all done setting that up take your golf ball and roll it down the track and see how many dominos it will nocks over
14. Do that all over again 5 times
15. Then see which one has more force and does speed really effect the force

What are my results?
My results show that the golf ball has more force than the marble. Even though I thought that if there was more speed it could possibly nock it over some dominoes but I was wrong with that.

Observation
I saw that the golf ball was way more powerful than the marble because of its mass, the golf ball has a lot more mass then the marble because the marble is much smaller.
My hypothesis was?
My hypothesis was right because I knew that if there was more mass than it would have been an easier chance of knocking over the dominoes and also I was write because speed does effect the force. It affects the force because it shows that if it's going really fast it can give off a lot of power.

Friction and Gravity
Third Experiment Hula hoop
Friction and gravity apply to my experiment by, while hula hooping and stopping my body I am the unbalance force that acts upon the hula hoop making the hula hoop move downward towards the ground because of gravity.
Problem-If I am hula hooping for one minute long the same paste and I all of sudden I stop would it take longer than 3.3 seconded to the gowned?
Hypothesis-In my option I think that if I stopped automatically then I think that it will take 3.5 sec to reach the grown because of gravity, It will bring the hula hoop down.

My results
My result showed that gravity will take over because, well it is the earth and is shows that there is gravity on the earth. If we didn't have gravity in life then there would be a lot of conflicts in the world trying to get to place to place.

I saw that while I was doing my experiment that the gravity will always pull down toward the ground usually, never up. Also I have notice that it takes a shorter amount of time to hit the floor than I thought.

Speed and acceleration apply to my experiment by, if you are turning on or off a fast it starts of slow and it gets faster and faster, same with when you are turning off a fan it starts off slow when you are turning it off and it eventually will get slower and then turn off.
Problem-If I turn on a fan and leave it on for one minute and thirty second how much time will it take to be completely off?
Hypothesis- I think that it will take about 3.5 seconds to turn completely off because it takes time for the fan to turn completely off because of its acceleration.

6. Write when it hit 1:30 on the timer turn off the fan write away make sure when you’re turning off the fan you start the timer as soon as you do that.
7. See how long it takes for the fan to turn completely off when your timer has stopped
8. Record you score on a separate sheet of paper or on your laptop
9. Repeat all steps over again four more times so therefore you have done this experiment five times in total

Do you know that using solar energy could be saving the world thousands of dollars? Sun light is the best natural resource that is converted into electricity. Rather than using expensive natural gas, oil, coal or wood for meeting energy requirements, you can save on a huge amount of money just by using solar energy. Solar energy can be used for industrial production such as, material testing, smelting, to heat up water/boil, cooking food, and disinfecting water so therefore you can drink health water, and much more. Solar energy is a lot more healthier for our environment because just using solar panels helps us not pollute the air. It also prevents globe warming because it doesn’t produce greenhouse effect/ which is a major cause of globe warming. The sun shines bright every morning, so why not use solar energy/solar panels; you just have to make sure that your solar energy system is working so it can run your whole household. It would control your whole household. You would need about 590 watt so it can control your stove/oven, heat, oil, refrigerator, or T.V or computer and each watt cost about $1.75 so you would just have to do $1.75 times 590 and you get $1,032.50. Well $1,032.50 might seem like a lot of money but if you realize it, it’s taking care of your whole house and plus the solar panels last about 25 years and that’s a long time think about just how much money you would be saving. If the whole planet used solar energy, the plant would be saving so much money. If we all just thought about having solar panels and actually getting them, then we would realize that getting solar panels is helping out our planet a lot. Rube Goldber
My Rube Goldberg starts out with the screw hanging by a pulley. The Pulley has a wheel and Axel. A marble falls down the screw, down the inclined plane. It knocks over 10 dominoes. The last domino pushes over the egg off the edge of the table and into a bowl but the bowl is balancing on a popsicle stick so therefore it is a titer totter and that bowl is attached to a string and we actually use two pulleys so once the egg drops in to the bowl the egg will crack making sure that the bowl slides off and dumps over the egg but we didn’t want the bowl to just fall anywhere so that’s why we attached it to a sting which the string is attach to the pulley. So the egg will drop into strainer that is handmade and what is under the strainer is another bowl so now you can just take the bowl that has the egg in it.

Lies Happen
What if you were being pressured by your parents to get into a certain school? Then you didn’t get accepted in the school that they wanted, what would you do? Eli is going through that right now. The story relates to real life because it is a comedy. “The Lie” relates to life because it shows how people in life have problems.
To begin with this story I would say that "The Lie" relates to life because the parents of Eli put too much pressure on him. In real life parents do put pressure on their kid like, sports, school, or other activities. This story also relates to life because kids are scared of what their parents are going to think of them. Most kids want to please their parents, but sometimes the parents don't even realize that their kid is trying to. So therefore they don’t pay attention to that kind of stuff. A lot of kids do not get accepted by their parents or friends. In this case Eli is not getting accepted by his parents because Eli didn't get accepted in to White Hill preparatory school. His parents were disappointed in Eli. They didn't accepted Eli until the end because they thought it was partly their fault because they were putting a lot of pressure on him.
In addition I would like to talk about how this story is a Comedy. It is a Comedy because in the being it starts off normal with Eli trying to get in to the school. Then there is a conflict and that is when Eli lied to his parents. Eli didn’t tell them that he didn't get accepted in to the school because he thought that they were going to be mad and disappointed. It went back to normal when his parents found out about Eli by other people, that Eli did not get accepted into White Hill. They just accepted Eli for Eli and Eli couldn't do anything about getting in. They thought they were putting to much presser on him which they were. They realized that they should know their own kid and put not as much presser on Eli as they were.
The purpose of this story is to attract attention to the readers about why you should not lie to people because all it just does is it will lead into more lies and you can usually never get out of a lie. More lies will just lead into trouble. That’s why you should just tell the truth in the first place, even if you do get into trouble. I believe that you should love your kid unconditionally even if they go against or lie to you.
In a year the average person tells 1,460 lies. In the short story I told you that Eli lied to his mom and dad and how he goes through everyday life with this lie on his shoulder. If you choose to lie you will find yourself in a bad situation.

2. The movie Up is a romance because it was a perfect world in the beginning and in the end in the beginning because Carl fell in love with Elli and they grew old together. The mild conflicted is when the love of his life died.

The writer use humor when Carl hit the man who ran over his mail box and they Carl was going to go to hospital but he said “So long boys!” and then his house rumbled of the ground and he started to drive the house. Another humorous part in the movie is when Dough the dog started to talk and Carl and the boy Russell were shocked to see that a talking dog was talking.
7. What I learned from this movie is that if you love something for a long time sometimes you just have to get rid of it and let go of your past like Carl did. Carl didn’t want to let his belongings go and he held on for them for so long and he didn’t think of his self he thought of Russell, Kevin and dough and let his house dropped.

The writer use humor when Carl hit the man who ran over his mail box and they Carl was going to go to hospital but he said “So long boys!” and then his house rumbled of the ground and he started to drive the house. Robber
The alarm was going off in Dara’s house.BEEP BEEP BEEP. It woke her up from a deep sleep. Dara goes down stairs slouching with a robe on. She sees a man with a black ski mask over his head. Dara thought it was her brother Ian. She did think that her brother was trying to brake to her house. She talks calmly with a cold under her breath, “Ian are you crazy? Its four o’clock in the morning, what are you doing here?”
The man stood there with complete shock for a along period of time.
Dara says, “So… what are you doing here?” There was no answer. “Well if you’re not going to talk then get out!”
He ran down the hall and grabbed her China vase and ran out the door. Running off into the woods.
Dara screams, "what are you doing! get back here Ian, that's moms!"
She calls the cops and starts to talk to them she said,"Hello my brother just brook in to my house!"
"Are you sure it was your brother?" the police woman said.
"Yeah I pretty sure, I am almost positive it was him." Dara said.
"Okay just wait there, we will be over." the police woman said. The cops knocked on the door and talked to her for a long time. She was almost positive that was her brother. Dara was puzzled. Thinking to her self... why would my brother brake into my house?
The next day came, then they banged on her Ians door. BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG he opened the door. Ian said "what is this all about?"
"You have to come down to the police sation with us, no further questions." Dara was there too. After a few hours they brought out Ian. He when to trial and was found guitly. When they took Ian in handcuffs the last face he gave his sister was not a pleasant look. Dara was feeling guilty. Three mounths later Dara came and visited her brother trying to apologize. He fogives her. So in the time being she is seeing her brother because thats all she has her mom die from tuberculosis and in the memorie of her she always had that China vase in her house but when she got very sick she gave the vase to Dara. Dara thinks that her brother was trying to take it because his mother never gave him any thing before she died. So Dara explaned that she thought he was jealous and thats what she toled him too. They talked it out and later on in live they forgave and forgot and they had a healthly relationship again.
A few years laters... they found out who exactly brook in to Daras house the mans name was Charels Domeffer. The let out Ian but as he was walking out of the building..BANG BANG two gun shots have been shot.

Ribbons
The story Ribbons written by Laurence Yep relates to life because this story could really happen in life. For example a lot of people have grandparents that spoiled their grandchildren. If you were in that position like Stacy was in, you would want everything to be fair. That doesn’t always happen though. Stacy is just a normal girl but she doesn’t get everything that she wants. Unlike her brother Ien is the complete opposite and gets everything he what he wants by his grandparents.
It would compare to the T.V show George Lopez because George never got spoiled in his life, but his wife Angie did. George would always get treated badly when he was growing up by his mom, Benny. Angie on the other hand gets treated well by Georges mom. George doesn’t get it. He was never a bad. George’s mom, Benny didn’t like George at all. She would abuse him when he was a child. She also made fun of him because he had a big head. Angie would get all the credit for everything, and George would hate it because he didn’t think it was fair. George is kind of like the girl in Ribbons Stacy because they both don’t get spoiled. Angie is like the brother in Ribbons Ien because they both get spoiled.
This story relates to my life because when ever I go to my aunts house my aunt will always spoil my sister more than me just because she is the oldest. For example I was spending the night at my aunts house and same with my older sister. My older sister wanted to go to the mall and I didn’t want to go because I was tried my aunt says I don’t thinks it fair to be treated worst than others. I think that everyone should be treated the same.

Almost Murdered
Imagine walking slowly on a dock, looking at the calm lake in front of you. Then there is a pause… SPLASH you dive in to the cold water so fluently. The water is rushing up your body. It refreshes your whole body and you just want to keep swimming.
Well, my name is Mary and I swim for three and a half hours every morning. I am a very good swimmer. I am practicing for the National Olympic League because I am the best female swimmer in the Untied States. I thought to myself, if I am the best in the United States why not participate in the National Olympic League.
I am very nervous about this event. It is in a couple of months. I just want to be the best in the United States. I want to be the one who is holding the metal. I want to be the one who smiles in front of the whole world.
I was just thinking to myself… will I win? Will I get the metal? Will I faint in front of the world when I give my little speech? Will my mom and step dad be proud of me? Well I know that my mom will be proud of me even if I get last place. She is always proud of me. My step dad on the other hand, he expects me to be the best always.
My mom is a secretary and my step dad is a carpenter. My real dad left my mom when I was 4 years old. My mom got remarried and that’s why I have a step dad. I don’t’ really like my step dad because my step dad is bipolar and he sometimes takes his anger out at me, physically. My mom tries to deal with him but one of these days I think that she is going to lose it and leave him. They have been married for sixteen years. They say that they love each other, but do they really mean it? They will say “I love you” but then they argue. They always get into fights.
Well now let’s talk about me, I am seventeen. I don’t know if I will ever get to leave my house because my parents are very protective. It feels like I have been trapped in a cage for hundreds of years because my parents never let me go any where. I have one dog name Lily and I care about her so much. I have a job and a car. As long as you got a car, you got it all. You can go where ever you want but with me I usually have to stay at my house or go to work. I work at Waffles. When I go to college, I want to be a professional swimmer. Swimming is my life.
One day I came to my step dads work to drop off his lunch because he forgot to grab it at the house. My dad said,
“You should stay, you never spend time with me, this would be a great opportunity” I thought to my self why would I want to be by a person who just abuses me but I didn’t say that I said “sure why not” because I wanted to get on his good side. He said,
“Okay let’s go but before we go let me see if it is all right to bring another person” moments later
“Okay its fine, let’s go.” So I got in the truck and we were on our way. It was 53 miles away. I was paying attention where we were going just in case we got lost. My step dad pulled up to a gas station and got gas then left. We finally arrived. We pulled up to this creepy old broken down house. It was a dirty white house with vines going up from the side. I was scared to knock at the door but I did it any ways. While I was knocking at the door my step dad was getting supplies form the back of his truck. Someone finally answered the door. It was a buff man, who answers the door,
“You must be the carpenter’s daughter”, In a low deep voice. I answered “Step daughter.” He looked in my eyes and said to me
“Come on in.” I walked in slowly. He slammed the door and locked it. I didn’t understand. I said to him
“What’s going on my step dad is support to come in.”
“SILECE!!!” He yelled and grabbed arm. Once my step dad herd that slam he dropped all of his supplies and sprinted to the door. He was struggling with a panic. My step dad kept trying and trying. Then he thought of another idea. He ran to the back door and slammed opened the door with adrenalin running through his body. I really didn’t think that he would care that much about me. He said,
“Come on lets go.” I was struggling to get away from this messed up man. He wanted to go up the stares but I tried and tried to get away. I finally got away. I ran to the front door. Stupid me I forgot it was locked so I was running for my life to the back. The man ran after me trying catching my footsteps. My step dad yells come on come on lets go. I tripped and fell on the floor. My step dad ran toward me, but the man was on his way with a knife. The man punched my step dad and was trying to go after me, with the knife. As my step dad got up he continued to fight. As he was fight he dropped his car keys. I grabbed them. I ran outside saying to my step dad come on let’s go. My step dad was getting stabbed. He fell to the ground, laying on the floor bleeding. My whole body sunk to the ground. I cried, get up get up. My step dad looked in my eye hopelessly and said,
“I am so sorry I should have never brought you here It’s my fault… I will always love you and your mother forever.” I said,
“I love you too…” as tears flowed down my eyes like a river. Then I ran out the door and got in my step dad’s truck. I locked the door and drove off. I remembered where the gas station was because my dad got gas. I was going 84 miles down the road. I finally got there. I ran in freaking out. I was yelling, screaming crying everything you can imagine. I was explaining the story really really fast. The cashier said “Slow down! slow down! What happened?” after about three minutes I explained with some huffing and puffing. So right away she called the cops. About 14 cop cars came. They said
“Lead the way, you can go any speed you want but be careful.” So I did. The cops slammed down the door like it was a piñata. The man came out in hand cuffs with a grumpy mad face. They arrested the man. He was put in jail for sixty seven year for second degree murder. I was happy about that but the bad news was that my step dad was dead…
Four days later… I went to his finally. I was a very depressing day. I will always remember when he said I love you and your mother. That meant something special to me, in fact that meant a lot to me. I will really miss him.
Five months later… It is time for the big race, For the National Olympic League. The man said on your mark, get set, and GO. The man shot up in the air with a gun. My mom was cheering me on, “come on Mary come on you can do.”
And that’s exactly what I did. I did it!!! I won. I was holding up the metal above my head smiling proud. I wish that my step dad could have been here. I am sure that my mom will move on with her life and will get a new husband, but I am also sure that she will be thinking about my other step dad too.

The Worst Honeymoon
It was a Friday morning, John and Hannah just got married three weeks ago. John and Hannah both wanted to go somewhere for there honey moon. John said that Hannah could pick where they should have their honey moon. Hannah thought for a little while then Hannah said to John, “John John John I know where I want to go for our honey moon”!
John looked at her and said, “Where honey? Where?”
Hannah said, “To the Nozama Forest.”
John smiled with joy he has always wanted to go there and now he gets the chance too. He says, “Okay honey lets leave tomorrow morning”. So they both start to pack that night.
The next morning comes. It was a nice and sunny warm day, and John and Hannah were off to there Honey moon. They got on the plain to the Nozama Forest. This dangerous Forest is the third biggest forest in the world. But why would anyone want to go to the Nozama Forest? Hannah and John always wanted to explore there with all different kinds of animals surrounding them. John and Hannah are a really big animal lover, that’s why they want to go there.
“Well were off to the Nozama Forest, I hope this is going to be the Best honey moon ever.” Said Hannah
“Me too” said John and gave Hannah a kiss her cheek.
Hannah didn’t know what to expect. Would the Vacation be fun? Would the Vacation be scary? Hannah just didn’t know what to expect for this honey moon. Hannah was very nervous and excited, with jitters in her body with happiness, just waiting to burst out any second, Goosebumps sprinting up her arm with excitement, shivers coming down her legs with nervousness. She just wanted this honey moon to be the best honey moon ever.
John was excited for the honey moon because, this was the first honey moon he has ever been on and he gets to spend it with the love of his life, the peddles to his flower, the smile to his face, the water to his river. Hannah was the perfect wife. He got to spend this mysterious Honey moon with her.
They arrived in the hotel called The Holiday Inn. They both got ready for their romantic Dinner. The restraint that they were going to was called The Night. This place was so unbelievable. They had scented candles with rose peddle surrounding it on their table. Wine cups, calm piano music in the background. Hannah took her fancy clear wine glass and raised it in the air and said “to a new beginning, with a long ending” and made a toast.
John looked at Hannah with a smile on his face and said “to a new beginning, with a long ending.” As they were finishing up eating there lobster. They tipped the waiter 20 dollars.
They drive back to the hotel. When the arrive Hannah puts on her PJ’s and John put on his boxers. Hannah got in bed and John did the same. They both got in bed and snuggled next to each other falling asleep so peacefully.
The next morning John decided to take a quick swim in to the ocean the beach was calm and it was a perfect time he didn’t want to wake up his wife Hannah so he quietly got out of bed and put on his bathing suit and he walked down the stared and opened the door and was walking on the hot powdery sand and reached the ocean and dived in. John stared to swim farther and farther out. John was a good swimmer. There was other people swimming but closer up by shore.
John saw this dark black figure. He didn’t know what it was. Suddenly it bit his leg. It was a Great White Shark. He was screaming with terror. Blood escaping from his body.
“Am I going to die?, what is going to happened to my wife?” thought John.
It was a great white shark. Just playing around with his body like a toy, rolling and biting. John was screaming. Hannah get up from her bed and hears screaming. Hannah looks out the window and she screams. Hannah sprinted to the shore screaming
“Help him! Help him! Help my husband!”
John was screaming for his life then he went under... It was silent. Hannah couldn’t see anything but blood. She cried “Please John, Please Don’t give up on me”
It was to late. Moments later Johns body floated to the top slowly. Hannah ran in the water she turned his body so he was laying on his back and looked at his eyes crying, “No, no I love John please don’t go, we are supposed to live a happy life together and have kids and rise them.” But unfortunately that day never come.
Hannah called the cops. They pick him up and sent him back the place that was the funeral home and got him ready for the funeral in Hannah’s town. Hannah packed her bags and got on a plain and flew back to her home town feeling guilty that she planed this trip, this is the reason why my husband died because of me. Four days latter the funeral came. Hannah was in to tears when she saw here husband just laying there in his casket. Hannah couldn’t do and thing now so Hannah put her hands together and she said a prayer saying “let him be save, let him be peacefully his time is up and its time to move on.” And that’s what she did, she moved on with her life. She thought about him her and there especially when she was going though his stuff. She lived a happy life but not as happy and when they were together.
John looked at her and said, “Where honey? Where?”

It was a great white shark. Just playing around with his body like a toy, rolling and biting. John was screaming. Hannah get up from her bed and hears screaming. Hannah looks out the window and she screams. Hannah sprinted to the shore screaming
“Help him! Help him! Help my husband!”
John was screaming for his life then he went under... It was silent. Hannah couldn’t see anything but blood. She cried “Please John, Please Don’t give up on me”
It was to late. Moments later Johns body floated to the top slowly. Hannah ran in the water she turned his body so he was laying on his back and looked at his eyes crying, “No, no I love John please don’t go, we are supposed to live a happy life together and have kids and rise them.” But unfortunately that day never come.
Hannah called the cops. They pick him up and sent him back the place that was the funeral home and got him ready for the funeral in Hannah’s town. Hannah packed her bags and got on a plain and flew back to her home town feeling guilty that she planed this trip, this is the reason why my husband died because of me. Four days latter the funeral came. Hannah was in to tears when she saw here husband just laying there in his casket. Hannah couldn’t do and thing now so Hannah put her hands together and she said a prayer saying “let him be save, let him be peacefully his time is up and its time to move on.” And that’s what she did, she moved on with her life. She thought about him her and there especially when she was going though his stuff. She lived a happy life but not as happy and when they were together.
